When I first came to HKUST, like many other students, I was not exactly sure which academic field I wanted to pursue. This uncertainty was not due to a lack of vision or dream but due to the range of my interest in multiple areas including engineering, science, consulting, and business. Within two years, HKUST gave me the opportunity to have hands-on experience in all of these fields. This naturally led to the process of elimination, and soon I knew which fields I wanted to explore further in the future. As an undergraduate student, I was able to conduct lab research, deliver a bespoke consulting report to Hong Kong Jockey Club with the help of IBM mentors and build a chemical reaction-fueled car. Furthermore, by participating in SIGHT (Student Innovation for Global Health Technology), my team and I were able to start a social enterprise called Ms. Moringa with the intention of helping the villagers in Guizhou overcome poverty through the benefits of Moringa leaves and Moringa seeds.
My mission in life is “not merely to survive, but to thrive” (Angelou). I believe opportunities will not be spoon-fed to me. Instead, I must search for them; and when I find them, I ought to grasp them. Then, I must do my best “with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style”.

关于本科申请：
其实申请香港高校的本科一般是需要你的高考成绩以及特别重视你的高考英语成绩。除了你本身已经经历且拿到成绩的这部分，还需要通过六月初网站上po出来的面试安排，到城市（一般面试安排在北京，广州之类的城市）进行实地面试。最后学校项目的老师会根据你的高考成绩，高考英语成绩以及你的面试表现得出一个综合的分数。这个分数决定你最后是否成功申请到了这个专业。
如果是master申请：
你也是需要去研究生申请的网站上时刻紧跟信息。但是这个不同的在于需要的材料是你的本科官方认证成绩（也就是经过教务处盖章的最终成绩版本）以及雅思or托福成绩，有的学院比如商学院还需要GMAT成绩。
其实具体需要上面申请材料你要根据你心仪的program的requirement去针对性地准备。
